Ryan’s latest magazine feature just hit newsstands across Canada and select international magazine stores in the United States. It’s the main feature of Outpost’s 15th Anniversary Issue: a story of mystery, myth and his search for the real man behind the legend of King Arthur. Did he figure it out? Pick up the Winter 2010/2011 issue of Outpost to find out!

After relocating to a small island in the Mediterranean, Ryan is now Editor-at-Large (Europe) for Outpost magazine. Look for an entire series of new magazine features in the coming year! He’s off to Wales in a couple weeks, and Turkey and Namibia are on the horizon…

On the fitness front, Ryan is no longer associated with RMAX International or the Circular Strength Training system, having resigned his position back in January 2011. BodyweightCoach is still up and running. The Australian adventure and lifestyle magazine Bare Essentials just published an 8-page interview with Ryan. Some great photos by Jason George as well. Check it out in their November/December 2010 issue!

Ryan has been named to the Board of Directors of the Alo Cultural Foundation. The ACF is an international charitable organization which seeks to empower disadvantaged individuals, take a leading role in humanitarian relief efforts, and strengthen cross cultural understanding between the Middle East and the nations of the West. Ryan will be on assignment in Syria from October 7th to 20th, tracking down the ruined fortresses of the legendary Assassins.

Ryan will be in Japan from September 18th to 28th, hanging out in Tokyo, attending the Grand Sumo tournament, and then heading north to Iwate prefecture for onsen, Hiraizumi, and more. Stay tuned to the Road Wisdom blog for pics and stories…

Tune in to CTV this coming Wednesday (June 17th), where Ryan will make a national, primetime television appearance on ETalk (Canada’s highest rated entertainment show) to talk about his new 12 Minute Stage Crazy ebook. He also took host Zain Meghji through a circuit of this new bodyweight exercise sensation at Toronto’s Park Hyatt hotel to demonstrate portable training for today’s virtual nomad. If you’re curious about how a travel writer stays in expedition shape on the road, be sure to tune in. The episode will air at 7pm in all time zones across Canada.
